CERN regarding the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) replacing the LEP (Large Electron Positron collider). Video date- 1998.
Part 1

Part 2

CERN regarding the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) replacing the LEP (Large Electron Positron collider). Video date- 1998.

The detector they refer to at the beginning of the clip is more than likely the ATLAS experiment (A Toroidal LHC ApparatuS) as this is the largest and most well known detector proposed (the video is from 1998 so I imagine they hadn't thought of names for the detectors yet.

The other detectors proposed are- CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid),
ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment),
TOTEM (Total Cross Section, Elastic Scattering and Diffraction Dissociation) which would share the same intersection point as the CMS, LHCb (LHC-beauty) and
LHCf (LHC-forward) which shares the same intersection point as ATLAS.

The ATLAS experiment
(A Torodial Lhc ApparatuS), one of the 5 particle detector experiments being constructed at the new LHC (Large Hadron Collider) accelerator at CERN in Switzerland.

Other proposed detectors at CERN include-
CMS- Compact Muon Solenoid
ALICE- A Large Ion Collider Experiment
TOTEM- Total Cross Section, Elastic Scattering and Diffraction Dissociation
