- Why are PA systems terrible?
Whether it is because I am getting old or not, I often have trouble
understanding spoken words. I notice that when I listen on radio or
television, some voices are easy to understand while others are
difficult to understand. Is there an acoustical explanation? That is, If
I can understand one person but not another, is my processing bad? Are

"dead" room, say Rev Times of 1sec. As always Mid and high Frequencies

I am doing my basement. I will be putting up drywall and partitioning.
I was thinking, is there anything out there to orderly put holes in the drywall
without causing too much greif. I would cover those areas with a material

I have recently been asked to model noise from blasting activities in
a quarry which has been mothballed. As far as I am aware, there is no
previously measured blasting noise data. It is my understanding that
this is impossible. Does anyone know differently?
It is my understanding that to do any sort of modelling of blast noise
