Gimme a boost

The ALS booster ring is a small synchrotron designed to further accelerate the electrons from the LINAC. Electrons will travel 98,000 kilometers in the booster ring, and get boosted to their target energy of 1.5 GeV. At an exit speed of 99.999994% the speed of light, it's a short time in the booster ring: .33 seconds.
