Mind on the Job
"......I recently took part in a Psychology department study on the cerebellum and its use in spatial awareness. This involved having my head strapped in to a clamp, learning and perfecting movements and accurately pointing to an illusionary point in the air while having - and this is the key point - my brain switched off momentarily by Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). TMS is essential a bloody massive magnet that makes neurons fire involuntarily and in essence makes your face and arms twitch....."
