Faraday
Demonstrating how a Faraday cage shields people (and anything else) from electrostatic charges and discharges. Since electrons have the same electrostatic charge, they repel each other. As a consequence, the free electrons provided by the charging at 300 kV of the set-up lie on the outside surface of the Faraday cage and not inside (this is why these two young women are shielded from the discharges flying out of the operator's "wand", or why their hair are not raised on their heads).
