Hanoi Taxi

On February12, 1973, a Lockheed Martin C-141 Starlifter landed at Gia Lam Airport in Hanoi, North Vietnam. The Vietnam War was over and the C-141 had been sent to pick up released POWs. This was the first aircraft to fly POWs home, giving it the nickname "Hanoi Taxi". It became legendary, and was the last Starlifter to be retired. It is now on static display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force near Dayton, Ohio.
