The ghostly Ryugyong Hotel
The ghostly Ryugyong Hotel is easily the most unsettling feature of Pyongyang's skyline. At 1083 feet, the massive 3000-room concrete structure is easily North Korea's tallest building. Left unfinished due to funding shortages and serious economic problems, the empty shell now towers above the capitol of the world's loneliest outpost like something out of George Orwell's 1984:
