SOLSTICE (Solar Stellar Irradiance Comparison Experiment) was first built for the UARS mission in 1990. The instrument worked so well that LASP's engineers built a similar one for the SORCE mission in 2002. This is a slide show of the SORCE SOLSTICE instrument's main mechanical features.
